SOULBATH PEACE FOUNDATION - INTERNSHIP SOCIETY PROJECT
Learning from Humanity, Growing with Humanity and Service to Humanity
The RB-BTS DREAM - The Golden Thread connecting all
With the core essence of the Raj Bhowmik Back-To-Society DREAM (RB-BTS DREAM), the SAHHEAL Healing Consultant Certification extended a unique opportunity for individuals to learn, grow and serve. To support people who need our services the most in society, SAHHEAL Interns reached out to students at Mitrajyothi to provide them with an opportunity to refine and align their life goals and to achieve it.
Mitrajyothi is an organization that extensively works with the visually impaired students across India providing them with opportunities in training and employment. Students could participate in the interaction based on their choice and they had the privilege of having a one on one Life Consultation session for 3 consecutive weeks to address and work towards their dreams.
All of us have dreams but many of us often complain that we can’t achieve them because someone else is not supporting it. The sessions focused on discovering individual habits and traits, patterns of life at the level of mind and soul and to use the deep strength within to accept life and move effortlessly with a new perception.

The RB-BTS Dream was like a bridge connecting the 2 worlds that would benefit by interacting with one another. In life, it is these interactions that teach us so much more than what we have learnt in schools, courses or even books. It is the lesson of trusting and moving along, to reach out fearlessly and receive the help and feel compassion. This unique interaction was mutual in nature redefining ‘extending help’ to ‘connecting to’ another human being where love and compassion was the key.
This is a beautiful poem by Raj Bhowmik – ‘Roof Tops’ that is a metaphor to the internship experience and evolving as human beings through all experiences as learning through acceptance and compassion.

"GIVEN ME LESS"…
"A CHILD OF A LESSER GOD"…
Now, even the roof-tops are familiar with my screams.
So are the passer-by’s on the other end of the roof tops.
‘Why me’? I thought.
Till a moment ago.
A moment, when I saw him from my roof top,
–Crossing the lane...
He crossed the lane–
On his bare palms and pus oozing sore fingers!
My mind enlightened to the metaphor –‘My heart sank!’.
…My heart sank!
I wanted to reach out and offer my arms to help.
Realised, I could not help,
–I don’t have any…
Away from his sore fingers, when my eyes shifted to his eyes…
His eyes smiled a celestial smile!
It did not seem to bother for any help!
That was a moment ago.
And from this moment now,
Roof tops will not be my home anymore.”

TESTIMONIALS

SAHHEAL Internship at Mitra Jyothi was a wonderful experience. Therapy sessions with my client brought about revelations in my own life. Layers were peeled away to reveal the interconnectedness of all those who are in my space, my universe. It was amazing to realize how I was the epicenter of the going on in m universe. It showed me how I should constantly be connected to the divinity within me to maintain a harmonious flow in my universe. I am still getting a grasp of the enormity of the responsibility on me. If I am actually responsible for creating a situation around me then the inner work that has to happen, to be in tandem with cosmic harmony is huge. I am yet a novice who has just understood a very obvious fact about existence. I have a long way to go.
As I was working with my client, I was feeling an understanding within me. The courage, strength, spiritual awareness and intuition of my client blew me away. I thank my client for the immense learning and I thank Soulbath Peace Foundation for providing me this platform and giving me this opportunity to grow.

It’s been a very good experience through Soulbath Peace Foundation at Mitrajyothi and it has been very helpful to both the student and me. This experience has been very helpful to understand and handle the individual. I am grateful to Soulbath Peace Foundation for this opportunity as this has given good confidence to move faster towards my Goals.
Some of my Learning’s: Every mind understands the way the mind is designed to function.
The Healing Garden CD by Raj Bhowmik does have very good impact on the wellbeing of an individual who listens to it in a sustained manner after being led by SAHHEAL Experts. The more clients we see the more we get healed in the process.

I feel very grateful for this opportunity that was provided by Soulbath Peace Foundation. As I have learned tremendously from this experience. When we went there, I thought I am there to provide help but reality is that I have received so much more that I have no words. The students and staff accepted us completely and during the sessions opened up fully. Though they are visually impaired, the desire to move ahead in life and their strength is enormous. A part of me that was engaged in healing them was observant about changes inside my own system. The gratitude, the happiness and trust they showed after the session felt wonderful. They say we have changed lives and they are feeling different, I have also seen with that comment the difference it made to me about perspectives in my own life.

Sessions with the individual was a truly enriching experience. The objective of our sessions through SAHHEAL was aimed towards to strengthen goals in the lives of the student and 'tools'of empowermont to achieve these goals.
As a SAHHEAL Healing Consultant, I felt privileged to work with the individual student in a comfortable and easy atmosphere. I would certainly be happy to be associated to work with the RB-BTS DREAM for the rest of my life.
I thank Soulbath Peace Foundation for giving me this opportunity of learning, growing and sharing.

This was my first real interaction with the visually impaired even in normal circumstances. This in itself was a new experience and working with individuals was even very unique.
Thanks to Soulbath Peace Foundation we got this beautiful experience to work with the visually challenged students.
As circumstances turned out, I had the opportunity to interact with two individuals. Even beyond the healing process, it was very enriching to learn something about their world which is drastically different from us.
This learning was brought out in my interaction with the two individuals. One young lady who has been born with a disability, she has a little sight from one eye. But having this disability she has been fighting this challenge from the time she has gained consciousness. Life has been a challenge and she has learnt to fight her battles. She bravely continues to go forward.
The challenges of the young lady is about continuing studies or taking up a job. Not very clear about what should the next step after the course completion. The long term is to get a Masters Degree and do a PhD. Financially, not only be independent but also contribute to providing to the family. Strangely is this any different from many of the youth today who are facing a similar conflict and dilemma.
The other individual a young man who began having a sight challenge in his first year of college in 2005. The sight rapidly deteriorated, which later was diagnosed as Retinitis Pigmentosa. The condition eventually leads to complete loss of sight and there is no expected cure at this point in time.
The young man is yet to come to terms with this twist in life. But during the course of the last few years he has take life forward by learning braille and the use of the walking stick. It took a lot of convincing for his parents to let him to come to Bangalore to do this course. The battle is about why me, acceptance by the society, uncertainty about the future, lack of emotions to others joy or sorrow, lack of confidence and jealousy that others are in a better position.
This interaction has taught me the be grateful to everything that we have - family, friends, relationships, our talents and abilities, the gift of normal senses of hands and limbs, sight, speech and hearing and breath. Never to take good health for granted and be ever grateful.
This interaction and experience is perhaps the difference between sympathy and empathy. I have really met two very strong and brave individuals who have taught me new lesson and redefined the word 'challenge'. Thank you SPF.
