SOULBATH PEACE FOUNDATION
World Health Day - The Circle of Life
Soulbath Peace Foundation’s exclusive offering for citizen’s of Bangalore as part of a conscious step towards healthy being in today’s fast paced life was integrating Sri Raj Bhowmik's message of 'CORPORitual Values of Living' in their lives.
"C-VOL with food and nutrition as part of one's daily living". Integrating the CORPORitual values of ‘Meet Yourself in Silence’ and ‘Practice compassion’, this workshop was an invitation to all global citizens who wanted to make a change in their daily nutrition intake by becoming conscious of a larger whole beginning from the seed, farm, processing, farmers and finally making the choice towards sustainable living.
The evening witnessed an interaction between moms, activists from NGOs, environmentalists, organic food lovers with seed nurturer and self contained natural farmer Ms Sangita Sharma.

Sangita Sharma is a natural farmer at "Ishana", Gopathi Farms at Village Singapura, Bangalore. Sangita has made a conscious shift from the corporate world to doing something that her heart desires - Becoming a Self Contained Natural Farmer. She practices low cost sustainable farming techniques by applying organic principles at "Ishana", Gopathi Farms. She believes that every individual has the ability to take charge of the right food for themselves - Right food that is safe and best for the body in its most natural form. She is also an active Seed Banker and is advocating farming and natural practices as a conscious citizenship model in every home that is simple as long as one is open to understanding nature's ways.
Food has a close association with well-being, especially the way the food is processed, cooked and eaten. In today’s world when we are all rushing for lack of time, we often seem to run into quick methods to buy and store food. The evening’s objective was to understand the alternatives that are available in Nature to suit our lifestyle today and celebrate Mother Nature's diversity.
The experiential workshop helped Global citizens to become aware of processing styles of some common oils, fruits and vegetables, look at menus that are delicious, quick and at the same time completely wholesome and sustainable.
How many times have we ever thought about the nature of the soil, awareness of farmers during cultivation of food, the transfer of products to the main market or even about basic simple things at the grassroots of Nature – the diversity available?
When we walk into a super market, we spend on buying vegetables that are packed and look clean. But have we wondered how safe they are for us inside for our body?
Globalization has made vegetables and fruit products available at all times of the year. But isn’t Nature seasonal? Are we then really flowing with the natural flow of life?
Nature is a testimony that when left for herself, She gives in abundance. When greed overpowers the natural cycle, then the results is imbalance. Each one of our needs is part of a bigger cycle of Nature.

The evening was to become more conscious of some small steps that we could take towards a larger goal that in a period of time would become stable. It was about altering oils, fruits and vegetable in the diet and more wholesome way to live a healthy life in today’s world. C-VOL’s compassion element was to a sector of society that we often don’t meet directly – the farmer.
This interaction at the Soulbath Peace Foundation centre gave Lakshmi from the village an opportunity to explain her traditional recipes from natural ingredients. Bread, cake, spreads & natural drinks were freshly available from Sangita’s farm as the audience generously helped themselves to get a new taste of living.
As our Founder Sri Raj Bhowmik mentions in CORPORitual about the receiving mechanism of our inner being – tuning it to Existence to hear what it wants to tell us.
Our Existence today is telling us a story of have’s and have nots, of modification of our food chain affecting a global whole. However in its most undisturbed spaces, when we tune in, we receive calmness, vastness, health and nourishment from the same sources in Nature of which we are a significant part. But in our existence we have made it seem as if we are the only one that is important and that is evident in the chaos that persists in today’s world.

I quote Sri Raj Bhowmik from his soul-stirring early morning discourse session ‘Raj Live! Deeper harmonies’ -day 2, part III, May 2007, Bangalore, India
“It is like the exact moment of harmony…
A moment when the cosmos needs the beauty of that flower added to its canvass,
and the flower needs to hatch from the bud to fill that exclusively reserved cosmic space, with its beauty.
In this harmony the cosmic flower blooms and spreads its fragrance into the early morning breeze…
There is nothing... nothing at all in the entire galaxy to match the innocence and beauty of this angelic moment.
It is the beginning… the beginning of - A new day! A new beginning!” - Sri Raj Bhowmik

Tuning ourselves so close to Nature brings us in perfect harmony to our health and well being and spread this essence to our larger family. ‘Health and Wellness’ in harmony is possible when we look inward inside our bodies, our family, kitchens, farms, farmers, nations, policies and it all begins when we make our first harmonious step at our individual levels for ourselves and our families by eating healthy to stay well.
